Alexander Petrowitsch Sinjawski ( Belarusian Александр Петрович Синявский ; born March 9, 1977 ) is a former Belarusian ski jumper .
Career
Sinyavsky made his international debut with the start at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1993 in Swedish Falun . From the large hill he reached 42nd place after jumps on 86 and 78.5 meters. On the normal hill he finished 59th after jumps on 69.5 and 67 meters. Belarus did not field a team in the team competition.
One year after the World Cup, Sinjawski started at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer . At the age of 16 he jumped from the normal hill to 38th place. From the large hill he jumped even more clearly behind the world's best and landed on rank 54. Like his Belarusian team-mates, he did not travel to the Nordic World Ski Championships 1995 in Thunder Bay , Canada, which followed a year later .
On March 9, 1996 Sinjawski made his debut in the ski jumping World Cup while ski flying in Harrachov . However, he did not manage to reach the second round, so that he finished 31st just behind the points.
At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1997 in Trondheim , Sinjawski dropped out of the large hill after jumping to 83 meters in round one and only reached 53rd place. From the normal hill he also did not jump far enough with 80.5 meters to make the second round to reach. In the end, he finished 47th. Again, no Belarusian team competed in the team competition.
In January 1998 he started at the Ski Flying World Cup 1998 in Oberstdorf and reached 37th place in the individual competition. The day before he had achieved 36th place at the Ski Flying World Cup on the same hill. At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano , Sinjawski did not get past 50th place on the normal hill. He jumped from the large hill to a good 32nd place.
After Sinjawski remained unsuccessful in three World Cups in Falun, Trondheim and Oslo , he finally ended his active ski jumping career at the end of the 1997/98 season .
