Alexander Skowronski , Polish: Aleksander Skowroński, (born February 9, 1863 in Laurahütte , † October 4, 1934 ) was a Polish Catholic clergyman and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Skowronski attended elementary school in Laurahütte from 1871 to 1876, the St. Matthias grammar school in Breslau until 1885 and studied Catholic theology at the University of Breslau until 1888 . In 1889 he was ordained a priest and worked as a chaplain and religion teacher in Königshütte until 1893, then temporarily in Lonschnik , Altzülz , Schimischow and from 1897 as a pastor in Ellguth . He was a co-founder of the Polish fibula association, the Polskie Towaczystwo Ludowe and chairman of the Towarzystwo pomocy naukowej in Wroclaw. He was also the author of the brochure: In which language must religious instruction be given? (1902). 1886-87 he served as a one-year volunteer in the 9th Company of the 2nd Silesian Grenadier Regiment No. 11 in Breslau and obtained the qualification certificate for reserve officer as a non-commissioned officer.

From 1907 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Oppeln 7 Pless , Rybnik and the Polish parliamentary group . He resigned his mandate on December 11, 1907.
