Alexander von Egen

Alexander von Egen (born June 26, 1952 in Bozen ) is a South Tyrolean lawyer, politician and business mediator.

biography

Von Egen attended the Franciscan high school in Bozen and then studied law at the Universities of Innsbruck and Padua , which he graduated in 1978. After temporary work as a university assistant at the Institute for Legal History in Innsbruck and as part of a legal internship, he was director of the South Tyrolean Economic Ring from 1980 to 1994. Von Egen was initially politically active in his home town of Kaltern , where he served as Vice Mayor from 1980 to 1983. From 1983 to 1993 he was a member of the South Tyrolean People's Party (SVP) in the South Tyrolean state parliament and thus also in the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol . From 1984 to 1994 von Egen was also assessor and from 1989 vice-president in the regional government . After his political career, he became President of the International Darts Federation . He is the author of several books on the history of South Tyrol and an honorary citizen of the market town of Kaltern.
