Alexandra Mazzucco (born January 29, 1993 in Lauf an der Pegnitz ) is a German handball player .
Career
Alexandra Mazzucco played handball for SSG Metten from 2004. In 2009 she moved to ESV 1927 Regensburg , where she was used in the regional league and the third division . From 2011 the 1.75 meter right winger was under contract with Bundesliga club HC Leipzig . In 2012, she won the German championship with the HCL A youth team . With the women's team, she won the DHB Cup in 2014 and 2016 . In July 2017 she joined the Thuringian HC . With the Thuringian HC she won the German championship in 2018. She has been under contract with SV Union Halle-Neustadt since the 2020/21 season .
Mazzucco participated in the U-17 European Championship in 2009, the U-18 World Championship in 2010 and the U-19 European Championship in 2011. She was part of the extended squad of the German women's national team for the 2013 World Cup . On October 7, 2015, she played her first international match against Switzerland .
Alexandra Mazzucco attended the St. Gotthard grammar school of the Benedictines in Niederaltaich , where she graduated from high school in 2011 . She studies sports management at the University of Leipzig .
