Aljaksandr Syman (born July 26, 1977 in Kapyl , Minskaja Woblasz ) is a former Belarusian biathlete .
Aljaksandr Syman has been involved in biathlon since 1991 . He starts for Dinamo Minsk and is trained by Andrian Tsybulsky and Sjarhej Sakalouski . The married hobby historian lives in Minsk .
Syman made his Biathlon World Cup debut in 1999 in Hochfilzen in an individual (79th). He had his breakthrough on an international level at the Pre-Olympic World Cup 2005 in Cesana , where he came third in the sprint. At the next World Cup sprint in Pokljuka , he won his only single World Cup so far. With the relay, he won another World Cup in Ruhpolding in 2004 . In addition to its successes in winter, Syman is also successful in summer. At the 2005 Summer Biathlon World Championships, he won the mass start title in Muonio, and a year earlier he was victorious with the Belarusian relay team in Brezno-Osrblie.
Aljaksandr Syman took part in the Winter Olympics in 2002, 2006 and 2010 and has competed in 6 world championships so far.
