Alexandru Chiculiță (born February 3, 1961 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian saber fencer and today's fencing trainer.
successes
Alexandru Chiculiță took part in the Olympic Games twice: at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles he entered the battle for third place with the Romanian team and, thanks to an 8: 7 win over Germany with Marin Mustață , Corneliu Marin , Ioan Pop and Vilmoș Szabo the bronze medal. In 1992 in Barcelona, finishing fourth with the team, he just missed another medal win. He finished the individual competition in 30th place.
After his active career, he started working as a coach. As a club coach, he looked after Mihai Covaliu , later he became national coach of the Romanian men's saber team. Covaliu succeeded him in this position when Chiculiță took over as coach of the women's team.
