Marin Mustață (born March 3, 1954 in Bucharest ; † 2007 ) was a Romanian saber fencer .
successes
Marin Mustață took part in the Olympic Games three times : in 1976 he reached the semi-finals in Montreal with the team, which were lost to the Soviet Union . He prevailed in the subsequent battle for third place but against Hungary 9: 4 and won bronze together with Dan Irimiciuc , Ioan Pop , Alexandru Nilca and his cousin Corneliu Marin . Four years later in Moscow he finished 22nd in the individual and fifth with the team. At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles , Mustață again entered the battle for third place with the Romanian team and won another bronze medal thanks to an 8: 7 success over Germany with Alexandru Chiculiță , Corneliu Marin, Ioan Pop and Vilmoș Szabo . In the individual, he placed sixth.
