Alexei Alexandrovich Balandin

Alexei Alexandrowitsch Balandin ( Russian Алексей Александрович Баландин , scientific transliteration Aleksei Aleksandrovich Balandin ; born December 20, 1898 in Jenisseisk , Russian Empire ; †  May 22, 1967 in Moscow , Russian Soviet Republic ) was a Soviet chemist . His main area of ​​work was organic catalysis .

From March 1949 to May 1953 Balandin was imprisoned in the NorilLag reformatory and labor camp .

The Balandin crater on the moon is named after him.
