Alexei Ivanovich Mamykin

Alexei Ivanovich Mamykin (born February 29, 1936 , † September 20, 2011 ) was a Soviet Russian football player and coach.

Athletic career

Mamykin comes from the youth of FK Dynamo Moscow , for whom he also made his first steps in the adult field. In 1957 he was part of the team around players like top scorer Vasily Busunov , Boris Kuznetsov , Vladimir Ryschkin and Lev Yashin , which won the championship title of the Soviet Union.

In 1959 Mamykin moved to PFK CSKA Moscow , where he became a national player. In September 1961 he made his debut in the 1-0 defeat against Austria in the USSR national team . Although he had scored three goals in the preparatory game in the 5-0 win against Sweden in April 1962 and thus had eight goals in seven international matches , he was initially only a substitute for the squad at the 1962 World Cup . In the final group game he scored the opening goal in his first tournament appearance in a 2-1 win over Uruguay and thus led the team to group victory . In the quarter-final game against hosts Chile he was also on the field, but could not prevent the elimination after a 1: 2 defeat. As a result, the national team career ended with nine goals in nine games.

1964 Mamykin went to FK SKA Rostov , in the following season he ended his active career with SK Odessa . There he then took over the coaching position before returning to CSKA Moscow in 1967 as an assistant coach . Here he worked alternately as an assistant, youth coach and from 1976/77 at times head coach until 1979, only briefly interrupted in the mid-1970s from service with the group of the Soviet armed forces in Germany .

In 1979 Mamykin was hired by SKA Kiev , in 1982 he worked briefly at Trud Jizzak . He then worked primarily in the youth sector.
