Alexei Sergejewitsch Medvedev ( Russian Алексей Сергеевич Медведев ; born January 5, 1977 in Pavlovsky Posad , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian football player and currently plays for FK Sibir Novosibirsk .

Career

In his youth he played for two clubs in the city of Orechowo-Sujewo . He began his professional career in the 1999 season at Saturn Ramenskoje . He scored his first goal for the club on matchday 25 of the 1999 season in the game against Spartak Moscow , but the game was still lost 3-1. From the 2000 season he played for two years at Dynamo Moscow . However, the big breakthrough did not materialize, so he returned to Saturn. He signed there for three years, the last year he played for Tom Tomsk . After the 2005 season, he moved to Krylya Sowetow Samara for two years . The striker has been playing for Sibir Novosibirsk since 2008 , with whom he was promoted to the Premjer League as a runner-up in the 1st division in the 2009 season . He was also top scorer in the 1st division with 18 goals in the 2009 season .

On August 9, 2010 Medvedev moved to Rubin Kazan for a transfer fee of 1 million euros .
