Alexis Copello ( Azerbaijani Aleksis Kopello ; born August 12, 1985 in Santiago de Cuba ) is a Cuban triple jumper who has competed for Azerbaijan since 2017 .

He took part in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , but narrowly missed the finals with a width of 17.09 m.

In March 2009, he first increased his personal best to 17.62 m, which means that he has now topped the world's annual best list. In May he managed another jump to 17.65 m, so that he traveled to the 2009 World Athletics Championships in Berlin as a medal contender. After five attempts in the final, he was in sixth place. In the last attempt, however, he managed to push Leevan Sands from third place with a distance of 17.36 m and thus secure the bronze medal behind Phillips Idowu and Nelson Évora . At the 2011 World Athletics Championships in Daegu, he was fourth with 17.47 m.

On March 30, 2017, he moved to the national team of Azerbaijan .

Alexis Copello is 1.85 m tall and has a competition weight of 80 kg.
