Alexis Jeannerod (born January 27, 1991 in Pontarlier ) is a French cross-country skier .

Career

Jeannerod has mainly participated in the Alpencup since 2008 . He came on the podium for the first time in January 2013 with second place in the skiathlon in Oberwiesenthal . In the 2013/14 season he reached three podium finishes, two of them in the singles and thus finished eighth in the overall standings. In January 2016 he took his first victory in the Alpine Cup over 15 km in Planica . He made his World Cup debut in December 2011 in Rogla, Slovenia . There he came in 62nd place in the 15 km mass start race. He got his first World Cup points in January 2014 in Szklarska Poręba with the 24th place in the 15 km mass start race. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season he clinched his second victory in the Alpine Cup in Valdidentro over 15 km. At the World Cup in La Clusaz , he came back into the points with 28th place in the 15 km mass start race and achieved his first podium finish in the World Cup with third place in the relay. He finished the Tour de Ski 2016/17 in 35th place. In February 2017 he won the Transjurassienne over 56 km in the classic technique. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 2017 , he finished 44th over 15 km classic.
