Alf Tord Karlsson (born December 4, 1941 in Kiruna ) is a former Swedish ski jumper .

Career

Karlsson, who competed for the IFK Kiruna club , started his first international competition in the 1966/67 Four Hills Tournament . In the opening competition on the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf , he landed in 20th place, before jumping to 65th place in the New Year's competition on the Great Olympic Hill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen after a significant drop in performance. On the Bergiselschanze in Innsbruck he again achieved only a weak result with rank 49. After he reached 51st place again on the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze in Bischofshofen , he was 48th overall after the tour with 673.5 points.

At the Swedish Championships in 1968 Karlsson won his first and only national title on the normal hill and with the team. A short time later he started at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble . Karlsson took 43rd place on the normal hill and 32nd place on the large hill.

Karlsson played his last international tournament when he started at the Four Hills Tournament in 1968/69 . However, he only denied jumping in Oberstdorf, where he jumped to 20th place. In the overall standings, he finished 74th.
