The Alfaro Passage ( Spanish Paso Alfaro ) is a strait in Hughes Bay on the Danco Coast in the west of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It runs between the coast and the offshore Apéndice island .
Participants of the 15th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1960–1961) named them after Mario Alfaro Cabrera, commander of the ship Yelcho on this research trip .
