Alphonsus props
The holy Alphonsus Requisens OFM (Spanish: Alfonso de Requesens Fenollet ) (* 1570 in Cervera , † 8. April 1639 in Castile ) was a member of the Order of St. Francis . His feast day is August 19th.
He was appointed bishop of Duvno in what is now Bosnia-Herzegovina on August 30, 1610 . On October 6, 1625, he took office as Bishop of Barbastro in Castile. When he died on April 8, 1639, his appointment as Bishop of Vic was already on the way, but did not reach Barbastro until May 2 of the same year.
