Alfred Bilz

Max Alfred Bilz (born January 23, 1877 in Meerane ; † May 7, 1939 in Meißen ) was a German naturopath and publisher . He was the son of the naturopath Friedrich Eduard Bilz , whose successor he took over as director of the Bilz sanatorium in June 1905, while his brother Ewald ran the family-owned publishing house F. E. Bilz and the younger brother Hans managed the Bilzbad .

Life

Max Alfred Bilz was born as one of the middle children of Eduard Bilz, who later became a naturopath, during his time in Meerane as a grocer. In 1889 he moved with the family to Dresden and in 1890 to Oberlößnitz , now part of Radebeul .

Like his father, Alfred Bilz became a naturopath. In 1905 he followed his father as director of the Bilz sanatorium in Oberlößnitz.

Alfred Bilz founded the Welt-Reform-Verlag in Radebeul , published the magazine Der neue Mensch and published some of the philanthropic works he wrote himself .
