Alfred Krauße
Alfred Lorenz Krauße (born February 12, 1829 in Lößnitz ; † August 20, 1894 in Leipzig ) was a German painter, copper and steel engraver, of whom numerous works, especially book illustrations, landscapes and portraits, have come down to us.
He came from the Ore Mountains and was one of the students of the English draftsman Henry Winkles in Karlsruhe . The center of his life was the Saxon trade fair city of Leipzig, where he also died.
