Alfred Rauch (politician)

Alfred Rauch (born July 8, 1893 in Stuttgart , † May 1, 1977 in Heidenheim an der Brenz ) was a German engineer and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Rauch was a senior engineer and professionally active as a manager.

After the Second World War he joined the Christian Democrats and was elected chairman of the CDU Heidenheim in June 1957. From 1946 he was a long-time member of the Heidenheim municipal council and a member of the district council in the Heidenheim district . In 1950 he was elected to the state parliament of Württemberg-Baden , to which he belonged until 1952. From 1952 to 1968 he was a member of the state constituent assembly for Baden-Württemberg (1952–1953) and a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament (1953–1968) for the constituency of Heidenheim / Neu-Ulm. Rauch led several election campaigns with Ludwig Erhard , who held the Heidenheim / Neu-Ulm constituency. In October 1961 he was elected deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. After leaving the state parliament, Rauch acted as chairman of the Württemberg Water Management Association.
