Alfred Schneider (politician, 1907)

Alfred Schneider (born September 2, 1907 in Zeiselwitz ; † March 20, 1994 ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Alfred Schneider attended elementary school and grammar school in Neustadt and studied law and political science in Breslau and Munich from 1927 to 1931 . In 1931 he became a court trainee and in 1934 a court assessor and assistant judge. In 1939 he became a district judge in Opole . From April 3, 1940 he was an associate judge at the Opole Special Court ; However, the appointment was revoked (for unknown reasons) by the President of the Breslau Higher Regional Court on June 8, 1940.

In February 1946, Schneider was a district court judge in Bavaria and later in 1946 in Dillenburg .

politics

On May 1, 1937, Schneider joined the NSDAP .

Alfred Schneider was a member of the SPD and in his party in various board positions, including in the district executive committee of the SPD of the Dill district . Since 1948 he was a member of the district council and second district deputy. In the state elections in Hesse in 1950 he was elected to the state parliament, to which he belonged for one electoral term. 1952 to 1973 he was district administrator of the Oberlahnkreis . On July 17, 1954, he was a member of the second federal assembly .

Alfred Schneider was the regional chairman of the German War Graves Commission . 1963 to 1967 and 1971 to 1973 he was Vice President, 1967 to 1971 President of the Hessian Savings Banks and Giro Association . From 1967 to 1971 he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Helaba .
