Alfred von Ressig

Alfred von Ressig (born January 20, 1865 in Krakow , † March 22, 1930 in Vienna ) was an Austrian administrative officer .

Life

Alfred von Ressig, son of central inspector of Galician privileged Karl Ludwig train Anton Ressig where studied from 1882 to 1886 University of Vienna Law . He began his professional career in 1897 with the Lieutenancy of Vienna and then went to the railroad. In 1893 he was appointed to the Railway Section of the Ministry of Commerce and in 1896 to the Ministry of Railways. In 1904 he rose to the section council, 1907 to the ministerial council and in 1913 to the section head. In 1919 he retired.

Von Ressig was instrumental in drawing up the last railway laws of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy . This included B. the Local Railway Act of 1910. For his services to the coordination of civil and military services during the First World War, he was raised to the nobility in 1918. In 1900 the Corps Saxonia Vienna awarded him the Corpsschleife.
