Salisu Abdullahi "Alhaji" Gero (born October 10, 1993 ) is a Nigerian soccer player .
Career
Gero played in his home country for the Lobi Stars , Kaduna United and Rangers International . He was appointed to the Nigerian national senior team at an early stage , with the Nigerian national soccer team (U-20 men) he finished third at the 2013 U-20 African Championship and reached the round of 16 at the 2013 U-20 World Cup in the summer .
In the summer of 2013 Gero moved to Europe and joined the Swedish club Östers IF , with which he signed a contract valid until the end of 2017. By the end of the 2013 season he scored only one goal in ten games and the club was relegated from Fotbollsallsvenskan to Superettan . There he scored nine goals, but here too the team ended the season on a relegation zone and in January 2015 he went to Denmark to Viborg FF in the 1st division . In the summer of the year he rose with the team in the super league , but then was hardly a regular player there. He then returned to Sweden in January 2016 and played for the first division promoted Östersunds FK . In 2017 he was one of the goal scorers in the 4-1 victory over IFK Norrköping in the cup final. He then played with the team in the 2017/18 UEFA Europa League , where they u. a. Hertha BSC bowled out of the competition and failed despite a 2-1 win at Emirates in the sixteenth finals at Arsenal FC .
In the summer of 2018 Gero moved to Esteghlal Tehran in Iran . But he returned to Östersunds FK in February 2019. In the summer she moved to Helsingborgs IF within the Swedish championship .
