Alhard Hermann Friedrich-Wilhelm Limbrecht Graf von dem Bussche-Ippenburg called by Kessell (* thirtieth June 1947 in Ippenburg ) is a German Diplom Kaufmann , Waldbauer and moated castle owners .

Alhard Graf von dem Bussche-Kessell belongs to the Bussche family . His parents are Albert von dem Bussche-Ippenburg and Ariane von Schlieffen . In 1975 he married Elisabeth Christine, born in Hohenzollern Castle . Duchess of Mecklenburg, a daughter from the marriage of Georg Alexander Herzog zu Mecklenburg and Ilona von Habsburg-Lothringen . The marriage with Elisabeth Christine was divorced in 1995; the relationship resulted in three children. He is married to Gevinon Freiin von Medem , who published a biography about Axel von dem Bussche in 1994 .

The Bussche-Ippenburg family owns the Ippenburg and Neuenhof castles and the associated agricultural and forestry areas. After Count Bussche handed over the Ippenburg business to his son Philipp , he moved to Neuenhof.

Life

Bussche-Ippenburg studied economics and works as an entrepreneur and forest farmer. Since 1974 he has been managing the listed family estate Schloss Neuenhof , the interior of which he does not want to make accessible to the public.

He founded the Sauerland wood marketing association with the Sauerland wood office. He was involved in the management committee of the German Forestry Council (1989 to 2004) and has been on the landscape committee of the Westphalian Landscape Foundation since 2004.

Between 1979 and 1984 he was a member of the City Council of Lüdenscheid .

On March 1, 2013, he was honored with the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his special commitment and honorary posts. Among other things, he was on the board of the AG Natural Forest Management (1989 to 2007), advisor to the board of the forest farmers 'association NRW (1995 to 2002) and in the tariff commission for forest workers and forest employees of the Westphalian-Lippian employers' association for agriculture and forestry (1985 to 2002 ), including seven years as chairman. From 2000 to 2011 he was chairman of the Landowners Association of North Rhine-Westphalia.

He is a Knight of Honor of the Order of St. John and has headed the Board of Trustees of the Johanniterhaus Hagedornskamp since 2010.
