Ali Landry
Ali Germaine Landry (born July 21, 1973 in Breaux Bridge , Louisiana ) is an American actress and model . She was named Miss USA in 1996 .
Life
Ali Germaine Landry is of French descent. She graduated from Cecilia High School in 1991 , where she was captain of the cheerleading team. She then studied communications at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette , where she was part of the Kappa Deltas fraternity . In parallel, she appeared in beauty pageants and became Miss Louisiana Teen USA in 1990 . With her title of Miss Louisiana USA in 1996, she was elected Miss USA in the same year . As a result, she qualified for the Miss Universe election , where she was among the last six.
Ali Landry was married twice. When she was elected Miss Teen USA in 1998, she was a member of the jury and met fellow judge Mario Lopez . Both married in 2004 in Puerto Vallarta , Mexico . Two weeks later, she had the marriage annulled. As a reason, she cited Lopez's many infidelities during their relationship. Two years later she married the Mexican director Alejandro Gomez Monteverde , with whom she has two children, born in 2007 and 2011.
