action

1. Silverado in danger

Alina Delius loves horses. She is 13 years old and lives with her mother Stefanie, a veterinarian, at the Terjung riding stables in Münsterland. Her dream is to have her own horse and later be successful as a rider.

When Alina meets the Arabian stallion Silverado, who was given to her classmate Jennifer by her rich parents, she immediately feels drawn to the extraordinary animal. Then, however, a fire breaks out on the riding stables , which leads to severe trauma at Silverado , which makes the animal suspicious and unpredictable. Alina wants to help the horse at all costs, with her classmate Patrick standing by her side. The owner of the stallion does not like to see this at all, who just wants to get rid of the animal, which is now useless in her eyes. Alina wants to prevent this at all costs. Jennifer is even willing to leave Silverado to the slaughterhouse just to get a new horse. She is now doing everything possible to get Patrick, with whom Alina is secretly in love, to her side.

2. The horse whisperer

Since Silverado's recovery is hardly progressing, Alina - after a hint from Patrick - tries to contact Andrea Kutsch , a horse whisperer. Jennifer is not very cooperative and, after he has finally overcome his trauma with Andreas and Alina's help, wants to sell Silverado in order to get the longed-for new horse. When Patrick confesses his love to Alina, she is happy. The jealous Jennifer doesn't give up, however, and does everything possible to get Patrick's attention, which is a thorn in Alina's side.

3. The tournament

Alina is allowed to train Silverado until a new buyer has been found and should even compete with him at the tournament. When the time finally comes, Alina shows everyone how great Silverado is. A playoff between Alina and Jennifer must decide who will leave the pitch as the winner. Shortly before the two girls go into the jump-off, Jennifer incriminates Alina with her statement that a buyer has been found for Silverado, knowing full well how much this affects Alina. Nevertheless, Alina manages to win the jump-off. She sadly prepares to say goodbye to the animal she has grown so fond of. But then Alina experiences a huge surprise, because she is the new owner of Silverado. Her mother, who is now with the owner of the Ludger von Heeren equestrian center, bought the animal for her daughter together with Ludger. Overjoyed, Alina falls around their necks.

criticism

The lexicon of international films found: “Three-part television film that focuses entirely on the world of experiences and dreams of growing girls. (Title of the shortened film version: Alina's dream ) "

Prisma spoke of a "routinely staged TV film about the adventures of a young girl who does everything to make her big dream come true". Director Brigitta Dresewski does not just focus on her protagonist's passion for her beloved four-legged friend, but also links it to the story of a first, tender love. It also said: “Worn by likeable young actors, this is not just a film for young horse lovers. For the convincing leading actress Marett Katalin Klahn, the role of Alina was her first major film appearance. "
