Alisha (born April 16, 1968 in Brooklyn , New York , United States , real name Alisha Ann Itkin ) is an American dance pop singer who had several hits in the 1980s and 1990s.

Career

Her first album, Alisha , which was produced by Mark Berry and distributed by Vanguard Records , included hits All Night Passion , Baby Talk (No. 1 on the US dance charts) and Too Turned On and sold over two million copies. Her second album, NightWalkin , was released on RCA Records in 1987 and contained the songs Do You Dream About Me? (from the soundtrack of the movie Mannequin ) and Into My Secret . Their third album, Bounce Back , was produced by Michael Jay in 1990 and distributed by MCA Records . There the title song and the single Wrong Number were found . Martika and Donna De Lory contributed as background . In 1996 Alisha released the single Wherever The Rhythm Takes Me (produced by Critique / Fever Records) and was allowed to sing the song You Wanna Be A Star in 1999 , the theme song of the film Superstar - Dare you to dream with Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon . Most recently, Alisha re-recorded her first single, All Night Passion . After taking some time off to look after her family, Alisha decided to perform and sing again.
