Allan Chamgwera

Allan Chamgwera (born April 30, 1928 in Nkhonjiwa ) is former bishop of Zomba .

Life

Allan Chamgwera was ordained a priest on September 7, 1957 . John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Zomba on February 12, 1981 .

The Archbishop of Lilongwe , Matthias A. Chimole , donated him episcopal ordination on May 31 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were James Chiona , Archbishop of Blantyre , and Felix Eugenio Mkhori , Bishop of Chikwawa .

On January 17, 2004, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
