action
Adamo, an Italian neo-fascist convicted of acts of violence, has to spend a period of probation in a small South Tyrolean mountain village in the parish of Pastor Ivan. The alcoholic and kleptomaniac Austrian ex-skier Gustav as well as the choleric Arab terrorist Khalid and the naive pregnant Sara, who Gustav loves and dreams of saving polar bears with him, also live there. As part of the probation, Adamo has to perform a self-imposed task and wants to bake an apple strudel , which is made more difficult by the fact that the pastor demands that the apples must come from his own garden. The clergyman attributes the fact that the apple tree is attacked by various plagues to the influence of the devil.
