The Alliance Royale (short AR , in German "Royal Alliance") is the French monarchist party founded in 2001 .

Content profile

The Alliance Royale aims to (re-) establish a constitutional monarchy in France, which should replace the current republican (but not the democratic ) system of the country and preserve the national identity of France in a united Europe , which the party is skeptical of. She wants to bring the advantages of the monarchy into the political debate in order to fuel the preparation of France for the future within its institutions (i.e. the monarchy).

There are currently three pretenders to the throne in France : Prince Louis Alphonse de Bourbon (Louis XX) , Count Henri d'Orléans (Henri VII) and Prince Charles Marie Bonaparte (Napoléon VII) . Although the President of the Alliance Royale , Yves-Marie Adeline, is personally close to the legitimist camp (the supporters of the Bourbon pretender, Prince Louis Alphonse de Bourbon), the party takes a neutral position with regard to the candidates for the throne because it is the French monarchists In view of the previous dynastic division, I want to unite in a common goal. Should the monarchy be reintroduced in France, the people should decide for themselves which house should henceforth provide the monarch. The majority of the party members belong to the legitimist tendency, alongside which the Orléanists (supporters of the branch line that goes back to Louis Philippe I. de Bourbon, duc d'Orléans ) and the Bonapartists exist as monarchist tendencies.

The Alliance Royale is expressly independent of all other current political parties and organizations in France, which is also reflected in one of its slogans: Il vous promettent tous la Lune, exigez le Soleil ("They promise you all the moon, demand the sun") .

In contrast to most of Germany's monarchist organizations , which generally work in a non-partisan way, the Alliance Royale is a political party that competes in elections like others. So far it has not been able to win any mandates at local, regional or national level.

Symbols

The royal coat of arms of France

The specific symbols of the party are the colors blue and gold and in connection with this the fleur de lys , probably the most famous monarchical symbol of France. This selection is based on the coat of arms of the Kingdom of France, see picture on the right.

organization

The geographical subdivision is based on departments , but there are still many departments without party representatives . Where available, these delegates, along with the activists, are responsible for publicizing the party and its purposes.
