Alloclita brachygrapta is a butterfly ( moth ) from the family of cosmopterigidae (Cosmopterigidae).

features

The description is based on two males that are in the collection of the Natural History Museum in London and are in fairly poor condition. Meyrick mentioned a total of four specimens in his original description in 1925, including a female. However, the whereabouts of the other two specimens is unknown.

The moths have a wingspan of 11 to 12 millimeters. The head shines yellowish white. The antennae are ringed dark brown and gray-white. Thorax and tegulae are pale ocher. The forewings are ocher-colored and white and have an ocher-brown spot on the costalader at the base of the wing . An arched ocher-brown band runs at 1/5 of the fore wing length from the costal vein to the anal fold. The basal part of the forewings is pale ocher brown in color and becomes darker in the direction of the bandage. An ocher-colored brown spot is at 2/5 of the forewing length on the Costa loader, in the middle of the wing it is connected with an ocher-colored longitudinal line. The apical area is covered with ocher and ocher brown scales . The dorsal half of the forewing is tinted gray from the longitudinal line to the apex . The fringed scales are yellowish white. The hind wings shine yellowish white.

The genital armature of the males differs from the similar species Alloclita recisella , Alloclita haifensis and Alloclita deprinsi by the almost straight left brachium and the short and at the base wide valves .

The female genital fittings are unknown.
