Alloclita haifensis is a butterfly ( moth ) from the family of cosmopterigidae (Cosmopterigidae).

features

The moths reach a wingspan of 13 to 15 millimeters. The head shimmers yellowish white, behind it is more ocher-colored white and on the sides dark brown. The antennae are yellowish white and very indistinctly pale ocher ringed. The thorax is yellowish white, ocher in front and posterolaterally with two black-brown dots. The tegulae are yellowish white and spotted dark brown in front. The forewings are yellowish white and mixed with ocher and pale brown scales . The first quarter is dark brown and paler towards the base of the wing. The outer edge is elongated below the anal fold in the direction of the apex . In the middle of the wing there is a wide, irregular, dark gray-brown band, which is constricted on both sides. The apical third of the forewings is dark gray-brown, this color extends inside to the costal vein and the inner wing of the wing and is extended to the middle band. The fringed scales are pale gray and mixed with dark gray scales. The hind wings are pale brownish gray and roughly scaled. The fringed scales are pale gray and pale ocher at the base. The abdomen is brownish.

The genital armature of the males resembles Alloclita recisella , but differs in the longer left brachium , the more curved valvellae and the right-angled aedeagus .

The genital fittings of the females are so far unknown.

Alloclita haifensis is native to the Middle East ( Israel , Palestine ).

biology

The biology of the species is unknown. The moths were collected in dune areas in May.
