The Allowitz Peak is a 1,240 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises immediately west of Mount Troubridge 5 km northeast of Mount Stuart in the Hedgpeth Heights of the Anare Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1960 and 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain after the American biologist Ronald D. Allowitz (* 1940), who between 1962 and in 1963 worked for the United States Antarctic Research Program at Hallett Station .
