Almir Chediak

Almir Chediak (born June 21, 1950 in Rio de Janeiro ; † May 26, 2003 ) was a Brazilian guitarist , composer and music producer .

He was a student of Dino 7 Cordas and began his musical career composing soundtracks for movies. His students in turn included Nara Leão , Gal Costa and Moraes Moreira .

He became known as the editor and publisher of numerous important songbooks, including a. with works by Ary Barroso , Caetano Veloso , Chico Buarque , Djavan , Dorival Caymmi , Edu Lobo , Noel Rosa , Rita Lee , Tom Jobim and Vinícius de Moraes .

Chediak was kidnapped and murdered in 2003.
