Alois Rottensteiner

Alois Rottensteiner (born January 23, 1850 in Meran , South Tyrol , † March 24, 1928 in Salzburg ) was an Austrian lawyer and politician .

After high school in Merano studied Rottensteiner 1870-1874 Law at the University of Graz and graduated in 1875 with the promotion of Dr. iur. from. After working as a trainee lawyer in Graz , Klagenfurt and Meran, he opened his own law firm in Salzburg in 1883 .

From 1885 to 1906 he was President of the Catholic-Political People's Association; 1890-1918 Member of Parliament of Flachgauer rural communities, 1909-1918 Governor -Stellvertreter, 1890-1902 and 1909-1918 member of the National Committee.
