Alpine is a town in Lincoln County in the US state of Wyoming .

Alpine is located on the western border of Wyoming and in the north of Lincoln County about 150 north of County Seat Kemmerer at an altitude of 1717 m at the southern end of the Snake River Canyon (Wyoming) where the Snake River flows into the Palisades Dam . In the district of Alpine Junction, the US Highways 26 and 89, which run together through the Snake River Canyon, separate from each other. The US Highway 26 runs along the dam to the north, while the US Highway 89 leads south. Between 1948 and 1951, Alpine was the western end of US 26.
The city has an area of 1.81 km², excluding land.
Demographics
According to the United States Census 2010 , Alpine had 828 inhabitants, of which 441 were men and 387 women. 189 inhabitants were under 20 years old, 48 over 65.
