Altair , full name Altair Gomes de Figueiredo (born January 22, 1938 in Niterói - † August 9, 2019 ), was a Brazilian football player. He played in the position of defender . In 1962 he became world champion with Brazil.

From 1955 he played at Fluminense Rio de Janeiro , for which he was active his entire career, playing 551 games and scoring two goals.

Between 1959 and 1966 he completed 18 international matches for the Brazilian national team and took part in two world championships.

In 1971 he ended his career at the age of 33. In the 1990s he worked as an interim trainer at Fluminense.
