History and architecture

The core of the small hall church is of late Romanesque origin. The western part of the nave, including its base made of field stones, was possibly built in the 13th century. The eastern part is dated to the 14th and 15th centuries. Field stones were used as building material, parts are made of brick. There is a three-sided closure on the east side of the nave. Some narrow pointed arch windows have also been preserved here. The church has a brick gable on the west side. Above this is a roof tower with a square floor plan. The gable and tower are likely to be part of a renovation of the church in the Baroque periodMade in 1771. During this time, the other window openings were also redesigned.

The interior of the church is spanned by a flat beamed ceiling. A simple altarpiece dates from 1623 . A large painting depicting the Last Supper can be seen in the main field. The donor family is shown in a painting in the predella in front of the crucified. Christ as judge of the world can be found in the upper field.

The wooden pulpit from the beginning of the 17th century stands on a twisted column . The evangelists are depicted in the fields of the pulpit, which are separated from one another by twisted columns. There is a small vestry cupboard on the northeast wall of the nave .
