The old parish church of Klagenfurt-St. Peter stands near the New Parish Church of Klagenfurt-St. Peter in the St. Peter near Ebenthal district of the municipality of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee in Carinthia . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).

history

A church was mentioned in documents in 1265 and 1267.

architecture

The church building with a baroque nave with a cross-shaped floor plan and a Gothic choir has a slender south-western porch tower.

The tower with supporting pillars has a pointed helmet . The Gothic vault ribs in the choir were removed during the baroque renovation.

Furnishing

In the place of the high altar there is now a holy grave . The side altars are from the second half of the 18th century, the left altar shows the image of St. Lucia and Joseph , the right altar shows the miraculous image of Maria Genazzano and St. Anna with Maria.

The wooden organ empore carries an instrument with simple nachbarocken organ .
