Altenbuch is a district of the Wallersdorf market in the Lower Bavarian district of Dingolfing-Landau . Until 1978 it formed an independent municipality.

location

The parish village of Altenbuch is located in the Gäuboden about four kilometers north of Wallersdorf on the state road 2325.

history

Duke Tassilo III. handed over the ducal estate Altenbuch in the Donaugau with 39 hooves to Salzburg in the 8th century . In 1228 Archbishop Eberhard of Salzburg ceded his and the Archbishop's goods and tithes to Altenbuch to Duke Ludwig den Kelheimer against the county in Pinzgau . Around 1245, Abbot Hermann von Niederaltaich and the pastor of Altenbuch compared through an arbitration award about the division of the tithes of farms in Gänsdorf .

Altenbuch formed an office and a chairman in the Landau district court. In 1818/1821 the Altenbuch community was formed in the Landau an der Isar district court. In 1905 Altenbuch received a postal agency. The Altenbuch loan fund was founded in 1912. In 1922 the electric light came to the place. On July 1, 1978, as part of the regional reform in Bavaria, the municipality of Altenbuch was combined with the localities of Haidenkofen , Haidlfing , Wallersdorf, Ettling to form the Wallersdorf market. In 2012 Altenbuch had around 400 residents.

Attractions

  • Parish Church of St. Rupert. It was rebuilt in 1765. In 1862 the tower was given a pointed helmet, but after a hurricane in November 1931 an onion dome again.
