Ettling is a parish village and part of the Wallersdorf market in the Lower Bavarian district of Dingolfing-Landau . Until April 30, 1978 it formed an independent municipality. Ettling is located on the edge of the Isar valley about six kilometers southeast of Wallersdorf on the right bank of the Isar and about one and a half kilometers southwest of Oberpöring .

history

Villa Oetilinga was mentioned in a document as early as 883 as the property of Niederaltaich Monastery . The place name is probably derived from the personal name Odilo. Row grave finds refer to the time of the Merovingians. The old secular parish of Ettling is mentioned in a document as early as 1004. In 1248 and the following years, a Heinricus de Oetling is often mentioned as Ministeriale of Niederaltaich Monastery.

On August 11, 1412, Steffan Retelschaffer renounced the estates and fiefs at Ettling by sending the corresponding letters to Duke Stephan III. sent. In 1438, the Duke of Katrey bought the Ettling court with all related rights and rights. In 1584 the Ettling office was removed from the superior office of the Osterhofen court .

In the year of conscription in 1752, the Osterhofen nursing court was divided into the offices of Osterhofen, Wisselsing and Ettling. Together with Poldering Ettling formed a chairman. The place Ettling then consisted of 21 properties. In addition, there was the closed Hofmark Ettling. It comprised 11 properties, but the Hofmark property was disputed by the Osterhofen Care Court. Owners of this Hofmark were in the 17th century the Notthracht and in the 18th century the Closen on Arnstorf and Gern , from whom it was bought in 1782 by Max Freiherr von Hofmühler.

The community Ettling belonged to the Landau an der Isar district . It was dissolved on May 1, 1978. The parts of the municipality Brunnberg, Gneidingerhart, Hiemling, Unterfrauenholz, Wildeneck and Zeitlstadt came to the Eichendorf market , while the parts of the municipality Ettling, Ettlingermoos, Meisternthal and Westerndorf were incorporated into the Wallersdorf market , and Gneiding came to Oberpöring . The Ettling power plant was opened in 1988, and the Ettling sewage treatment plant was rebuilt in 1997.

  • Parish Church of St. Alban. The hall church was built in 1719/1720 under the direction of Dominikus Magzin (also: Domenico Mazio) from Landau (born in Roveredo / Graubünden).
