The Altergraben , also called Prostenbach in the upper reaches , is an approximately 2 kilometer long left tributary of the Lusenbach in Styria . It rises southeast of the main town of Hitzendorf , south of the Attendorfberg district , northwest of the village of Attendorf as Prostenbach and flows about 1.2 kilometers in a slight left curve to the southwest before it bends sharply to the southeast. From this bend on, the water is called Altergraben and flows around 0.8 kilometers in a right-hand curve to the southwest. South-southeast of the village of Hitzendorf, south of the village of Attendorf and the Stockerprobst farm, the Altergraben flows a little west of the L336 into the Lusenbach, which then bends to the right. On its course, the Prostenbach flows through two small ponds and takes on an unnamed stream from the left.
