In the municipality of Sankt Bartholomä , the Liebochbach forms a 1.30 km long branch.
course
The source of the Liebochbach lies on the western slope of the Pleschkogel , directly west of the scattered settlement of Plesch, which belongs to the municipality of Gratwein-Straßengel, and about 300 meters southeast of the Enzianhof inn. From there, the stream first flows in a left curve around the Kehrerkogel and past Sankt Pankrazen to the west , before turning into a relatively straight course to the south-south-east in the Stiwollgraben . South of the local area of Stiwoll , the Liebochbach swings on a relatively straight south-west course on which it remains until its confluence with the Kainach in the south of the market town of Lieboch . On its course, the Liebochbach flows through Stiwoll as well as Sankt Bartholomä , as well as the local areas of Rohrbach , Hitzendorf , Attendorf and Lieboch. On short stretches, the Liebochbach also forms the municipal boundaries between Sankt Bartholomä and Hitzendorf and between Hitzendorf, Haselsdorf-Tobelbad and Lieboch.

2005 flood
On July 26, 2005, the Liebochbach burst its banks due to heavy rainfall and flooded parts of the Lieboch valley. A rainfall of 39 mm was measured at the precipitation station in Hitzendorf between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. A day earlier, 20 mm of precipitation was measured. Such amounts of precipitation occur in this area approximately every ten years. The level of the Lieboch rose at the measuring station in Hitzendorf from normally around 125 cm to a maximum of 373 cm. This results in a discharge rate of about 61 m³ / s, which only occurs every 40 years.
