Old legal association
An old law association is an association that existed before the Civil Code came into force on January 1, 1900. In contrast to younger associations, associations under the old law are not entered in the association register of the respective district court (ie do not use the addition " eV ") and are not supervised by there. Some old law associations use the addition “r. V. ”, as an abbreviation for“ legal association ”or“ a. V ". for "old law association".
For this reason, in legal transactions it is only possible to prove who represents the association externally by means of a representation certificate (and not by means of an extract from the register).
The supervisory authorities for associations under the old law are set out in the implementing laws of the federal states for the civil code . Examples of old law associations are:
