Altschlaining (Hungarian Ószalónak ) is a district of the municipality Stadtschlaining in the district of Oberwart , Burgenland , Austria .
In recent years he has become known in the media mainly because of his annual cattle drive from the Schönaueralm (since 1997).
There is a sports field (ASKÖ Schlaining), the local beautification club, a children's playground, the Altschlaining youth team, as well as two inns and a nursery. The Altschlaining volunteer fire brigade provides fire protection and general help. Located on the diving stream, you can also find the Sagmeister mill in Altschlaining, which offers a range of natural food products as well as guided tours through the grain mill, which has existed since the 18th century.
