Alwin Langenhan

Alwin Langenhan (born October 17, 1850 in Körner near Mühlhausen , † April 25, 1916 in Friedrichroda ) was a German teacher, writer, fossil collector and amateur paleontologist.

Life

Langenhan was a teacher in Gotha and an official of the Gotha life insurance bank. In 1880 he became district representative for Silesia . From 1894 he lived in Liegnitz and from 1904 in Friedrichroda, where he ran a private natural science museum. He published, among other things, on fossils of the Triassic .
