Marshall started in Vernon in November 2004 for the first time in the cross-country skiing Nor-Am-Cup and finished 21st in the skiathlon and ninth in the sprint. Her best placement at the Winter Universiade 2007 in Pragelato was 31st place in the skiathlon. She made her debut in the Cross Country World Cup in January 2008 in Canmore , which she finished in 52nd place in the sprint. Her best results at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2008 in Mals were 25th place in the sprint and 12th place in the relay. In the following year she came in the U23 world championships on the 33rd place over 10 km freestyle, on the 26th place in the skiathlon and on the 12th place in the sprint. In February 2009 she was third in the sprint at the Alpencup in Schilpario . In the 2010/11 season she came with four third places to fifth place in the overall standings of the Nor-Am-Cup. In the following season achieved a top ten placement in all Nor Am Cup participations. She won a third and seven second places. She also got her first victories in the Nor Am Cup in the sprint in Canmore and Cantley . She won the overall ranking of the Nor Am Cup at the end of the season. In March 2012 she achieved her first and only World Cup points at the World Cup finals in Stockholm with 28th place in the sprint. In the 2012/13 season she reached with one place, two second places and one first place and in the 2013/14 season with a second place and two first places in each case third place in the overall standings of the Nor-Am-Cup. At the beginning of her last active season, she won the sprint in West Yellowstone at the US Super Tour . In the further course of the season she won the Nor Am Cup in Rossland the classic race over 10 km and classic over 7.5 km. At the sprint in Vernon and Thunder Bay she was second and at the end of the season she finished fifth in the overall Nor-Am Cup standings.
