Américo Manuel Alves Aguiar (born December 12, 1973 in Leça do Balio , Matosinhos County , Portugal ) is a Portuguese clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Lisbon .

Life

Américo Manuel Alves Aguiar received on 8 July 2001, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On March 1, 2019 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Dagnum and auxiliary bishop of Lisbon. The Patriarch of Lisbon , Manuel José Cardinal Macário do Nascimento Clemente , consecrated him on March 31 of the same year in Kaunas as bishop . Co- consecrators were Manuel da Silva Rodrigues Linda , Bishop of Porto , and José Domingo Ulloa Mendieta , Archbishop of Panama .
