Manuel da Silva Rodrigues Linda (born April 15, 1956 in Paus , Portugal ) is a Portuguese clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Porto .

Life

Manuel da Silva Rodrigues Linda received on June 10 in 1981 by the Bishop of Vila Real , António Cardoso Cunha , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On June 27, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . as titular bishop of Casae Medianae and auxiliary bishop in Braga . The bishop of Vila Real, Joaquim Gonçalves , ordained him episcopal on September 20 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Portugal, Archbishop Rino Passigato , and the Archbishop of Braga, Jorge Ferreira da Costa Ortiga . Manuel da Silva Rodrigues Linda also became Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Braga.

Pope Francis appointed him military bishop of Portugal on October 10, 2013 . On March 15, 2018, the Pope appointed him Bishop of Porto. The inauguration took place on April 15 of the same year.
