João Evangelista Pimentel Lavrador

João Evangelista Pimentel Lavrador (born February 18, 1956 in Seixo , Portugal ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and Bishop of Angra .

Life

João Evangelista Pimentel Lavrador received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Coimbra on June 14, 1981 .

On May 7th, 2008 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . as titular bishop of Luperciana and auxiliary bishop in Porto . The Bishop of Coimbra, Albino Mamede Cleto , ordained him episcopal on June 29 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Porto, Manuel José Macário do Nascimento Clemente , and the Bishop Emeritus of Coimbra, João Alves .

On 29 September 2015 it appointed Pope Francis to Coadjutor Bishop of Angra . With the resignation of António de Sousa Braga on March 15, 2016, he succeeded him as Bishop of Angra.
