Amalie Haehnel
Amalie Haehnel , also Amalie Hähnel , ( 1807 in Vienna - 2 May 1849 in Berlin ) was an Austrian opera singer ( alto , mezzo-soprano ) and singing teacher .
Life
Haehnel received her musical training from Antonio Salieri and Giuseppe Ciccimara and first appeared as a concert singer in front of the audience. Even then, her voice had a range of over two octaves, from c sharp to two-stroke f sharp, and her debut caused a sensation. Haehnel's theater career began with her performance of the "Raisin" in the barber of Seville at the Vienna Court Opera .
She then took on engagements at several Austrian theaters and finally followed a call to the Königstädtisches Theater in Berlin in 1832 . There she worked with great success and soon became the darling of the public. In 1841 she was appointed to the royal stage and awarded the title of chamber singer for her achievements. In 1845 she joined the Association of the Court Theater and now worked as a voice trainer .
