The Amance is a river in France that runs in the Aube department , in the Grand Est region . It rises in the Forêt d'Orient Regional Nature Park , in the municipality of Vauchonvilliers, initially under the name Ru à l'Huile and generally drains in a northerly direction. It opens into the reservoir Lac Amance , who as reservoirs for the River Aube was built, is below the lake artificially again with water doped and ends after a total of 13 kilometers at Mathaux as a left tributary of the Aube.
